Nascor designs a therapy with dogs for people with physical disabilities
Nascor Formación has designed and manages an animal Assisted intervention workshop for the Care Centers for people with disability of Leganés (Madrid), an organization belonging to the Ministry of Social Rights and 2030 Agenda. Specifically, residents can interact with dogs to improve their physical, social, emotional and cognitive functions, as well as personal motivation.
The workshop, conducted by monitors, psychologists with at least three dogs, is composed of several activities. These include: cognitive stimulation and opportunities to interact with the physical and social environment, interesting, stimulating and challenging activities; as well as simple exercises, personalized and appropriate to the abilities of each person.
Nascor Formación is responsible for the therapy with dogs that have specific characteristics for the success of the project and the satisfaction of residents. These must be balanced, devoid of aggressiveness, trainable, affectionate, cheerful and adaptable.
