OCA Global achieves its 2020 emission mitigation target before the deadline
OCA Global presents this year a new report with the result of the calculation of the carbon footprint of the group's activities in Spain during 2019. This is the fifth annual calculation report of the carbon footprint made by OCA Global, according to the UNE-ISO 14064-1 standard, giving continuity to the estimation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions derived from the business activity, while continuing with the process of continuous improvement whose objective is to progressively minimize the environmental and climate impact of the group and its member organizations.
More specifically, the calculation has been made through a process of gathering information from 10 group companies, including their 51 delegations in Spain. GHG emissions generated directly by OCA Global (Scope 1) and indirect GHG emissions associated with energy sources (Scope 2) have been taken into account.
Thanks to improvements in energy supply and optimization of means and routes of transport, from 2018 to date, emissions have been reduced clearly over the target set for 2020. In 2019, emissions have already been reduced by 177,601.95 kg more than the target, therefore the reduction plan created in 2015 has been successfully fulfilled.
