Analysis and sampling of exposures to contaminants:

• Noise, lighting, mechanical vibrations, gases, metals, dust, free silica, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), etc.

OCA Global Prevention, within the Hygiene specialty, can take samples and hygienic measurements, in accordance with the minimum health and safety requirements in the workplace set out in Annex III and Annex IV of Royal Decree 486/1997, of:

​The emergency plan is a procedure to deal with risk and emergency situations due to the requirements established in Law 31/1995, Prevention of Occupational Risks. There it is stated that the employers ​must guarantee the health and safety of their employees, ​acting in case of emergency and imminent risk.

All companies that have employed workers are required to analyze possible emergency situations and adopt measures to deal with them, mainly in terms of first aid, fire-fighting and evacuation. These measures are included in the Emergency Plan.

The Self-Protection Plan (PAU) ​is a procedure to deal with risk and emergency situations ​that is ​​regulated by the Basic Self-protection standard, RD 393/2007 or, if it exists, the applicable regional or local regulations.

​The purpose of the Self-Protection Plan is to identify, analyze and evaluate possible emergency situations that may occur in the center and carry out the management of human and technical resources necessary to minimize such situations, defining the action sequences  to be developed in case any of these situations occur.

TEACHING CENTER

Any educational establishment having an evacuation height of 28m or more, or an occupation equal to or greater than 2,000 persons, or intended for physically or mentally disabled persons who are unable to evacuate on their own.

HEALTH CENTERS

Any other establishment for sanitary use that has an evacuation height equal to or greater than 28m, or an occupancy equal to or grater than 2,000 people, or in some cases when it has more than 200 beds.

PUBLIC RESIDENTIAL CENTErS

Establishments for public residential use affecting 100 or more people or intended for the elderly or those with a disability that prevents evacuation by their own means.

All those buildings that house commercial, administrative, provi​de services​, or any other type of activities, provided that the evacuation height of the building is equal to or greater than 28m, or have an occupancy equal to or greater than 2,000 people.

​The coordination of business activities (CAE) aims to ensure compliance with Article 24 of Law 31/1995, ​on Occupational Risk Prevention and its development according to Royal Decree 171/2004, in matters of Coordination of Business Activities.

​It is applicable in all work carried out by companies, in case of the concurrence of several companies in the same workplace.

OCA Global Prevention has specialized technical control equipment and procedures to adapt the facilities to current regulations, Royal Decree 1215/1997 and European directive 2006/42/CE, concerning minimum safety and health requirements for the use of work equipment by workers at work.

A control is carried out of its condition, its commissioning and that it has a correct operation.

​Royal Decree 681/2003, transposition of European Directive 1999/92/CE, is the regulation that affects locations where substances capable of generating an explosive atmosphere are used or stored. ​If affected, it is the obligation of the Employer to evaluate and control the specific risks of Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX) that may be generated in its facilities, taking into account:

• The probability of formation and duration of explosive atmospheres.
• ​The probability of the presence and activation of sources of ignition, including electrostatic discharges (ESD).
• ​The facilities, the substances used, the industrial processes and their possible interactions.
• ​The proportions of the foreseeable effects.

​Whenever flammable substances exist in the company in the form of gas, steam, fog or dust ​and can be mixed with air in dangerous quantities, there is a risk of explosion. Therefore, it is necessary that this risk is assessed and controlled.

​The missions that we develop in the ​​field of health and safety in the construction works are carried out ​following Royal Decree 1627/1997, of October 24, 1997, offering fundamental services.

​The Health and Safety Coordinator works with the aim of prevent avoidable workplace accidents.​ This helps the production, compliance with deadlines and economic cost of the work by reducing the number of interruptions and alterations in the execution schedule, as well as ensuring a correct protection of the operators involved in the construction work.

​Within the functions of Health and Safety Coordinator, he offers the services of:

ELABORATION OF THE ESS HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN

​The ESS consists of defining the procedures, technical equipment and auxiliary means that may be needed to minimize occupational risks. They will be specified in a specification, plans and budget.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN (PSS)

​ESS is applied. According to the works, the provisions contained in the ESS are analyzed, studied, developed and complemented, in which alternative prevention measures will also be available, without reducing safety levels.

Health and Safety Plan COORDINATION in the Design Stage

​OCA Global has competent technicians to coordinate the work and ensure that the contractor, subcontractors and the self-employed ​workers ​apply the principles of preventive action during the drafting and execution of the project, being responsible for ​​occupational risk prevention.

TRAINING OF TECHNICIANS IN ORP & HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATION

​We have, at our company's disposal, ​the ability to train technicians in Occupational Risk Prevention and in Health and Safety coordination.

OCA Global Prevention is approved as an entity by the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción to teach training actions (TPC) covered by the IV collective agreement of the construction sector.
