HUMAN RIGHTS
OCA Global includes in its code of ethics the human rights principles proposed by the United Nations.
OCA Global has implemented good governance practices based on OECD's (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) Principles of Corporate Governance, under which we proceed.
These good governance practices provide an environment of balance and control to organizations and they are an effective instrument to transmit confidence to investors and avoid undesirable or compromising situations.
“Corporate governance is a key element to increase economic efficiency and boost growth, as well as to encourage investor confidence. Corporate governance describes a series of relationships on the management of a company – regarding its board, its shareholders and other interested parties. Corporate governance also provides a structure for the establishment of objectives in the company, and determines the means that can be used to achieve those objectives and to monitor their compliance. Good corporate governance should offer appropriate incentives to the board and the governing body, so that objectives that serve the interests of the company and its shareholders are pursued, as well as facilitating effective supervision on this topic. The existence of an effective system of corporate governance within a given society and within the economy as a whole contributes to generating the degree of confidence necessary for the correct functioning of a market economy. As a result, the cost of capital is reduced and companies are encouraged to use their resources more efficiently, thus boosting growth.”
