The world's tallest photovoltaic solar plant, and also the largest in Bolivia, has been inaugurated with a ceremony attended by the country's president Luis Arce.
This construction is contextualized in Bolivia's National Development Plan, with the objective of diversifying the country's energy mix, increasing the use of renewable energy sources to achieve sustainable energy production, in line with new climate change policies and international proposals.
OCA Global supervised the second phase of the construction project of the solar photovoltaic plant, located in the highland town of Ancotanga in the department of Oruro, more than 3,700 meters above sea level. The new energy source has the capacity to produce 100 megawatts for the national system because it is designed to capture solar energy with more than 300,000 photovoltaic panels located on a total of 214 hectares.
