OCA Global awarded Iberdrola's Framework Contract for Virola-Pedestal Displacement Measurement in Wind Turbine Gener

OCA Global's International Projects Department has been awarded a Framework Contract to carry out Virola-Pedestal displacement measurements on the foundations of wind turbines installed in Iberdrola's wind farms.

The contract covers the actions to be carried out in the wind farms operated by the company in Spain, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe (including Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Cyprus and Romania), and Brazil, as part of the fleet life extension programs. It will have an initial duration of three years.

The Virola-Pedestal displacement measurement basically consists of recording how and to what extent the wind turbine tower vibrates in normal operation and commissioning situations. The results will indicate not only the state of health of the foundation, but also the corrective actions to be taken in each case.

With this contract, OCA Global expands its presence in the wind power business, particularly in the life extension of wind turbines, a market that is gaining importance every day.
