OCA Global has completed the verification of the set of machines that make up Machining Station 4 for the assembly of the space rocket fuel tanksAriane 6, of Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA).
It was the company Jobs, which is part of the company that has contracted us as the successful bidder on behalf ofAirbus for this important and exclusive technological project. This company is part of the FFG entities in Europe and North America, which unites the major players in the German, Italian, Swiss and North American machine tool industry. All these manufacturers are working together in an integrated structure, focusing on customer needs and applying their special expertise in milling, turning, grinding and high volume manufacturing.
The mission of Station 4 is to assemble the different rings that make up the tanks (four units) of each rocket by coupling them, machining the screws and adapting the composites and observatories with the special precision and guarantee requirements derived from the demands of their destination.
OCA Global's work consisted of verifying both the documentation provided by the Jobs manufacturer and the compliance of the safety measures and work equipment that make up the assembly plant manufactured for this part of the rocket's construction, as required by Airbus to its supplier. For us, this award has been a great opportunity to participate in one of the most important projects currently being developed in Europe.
