OCA Global has been awarded the contract for the periodic inspection services for Acoustic Emissions of the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) tanks of the company Primagas in the central and northwest area.
Primagas, a subsidiary of the multinational group SHV Energy, world leader in the LPG market and specialized in clean energy, is present in 26 countries. In Spain, Primagas Energía has been operating since 1996.
Primagas Energía, in order to continuously improve, has in its quality and sustainability management policy some objectives in the field of quality and environment. That is why they have chosen OCA Global, a pioneer company in performing inspections using the acoustic emissions method. This method is a non-destructive technique that has shown great benefits in structural integrity evaluation studies, detecting leaks and defects and has great advantages over the traditional method such as:
The tests can be performed without emptying or taking the installation out of service, the test time is considerably reduced compared to the conventional test. It eliminates the risk of leaks during the re-pumping of the traditional method, it is an environmentally friendly method, it avoids the expenditure of huge amounts of water used in the conventional method. It avoids in many cases the problematic civil work by digging up the tank, lifting slabs.
We hope that all the work will develop in a satisfactory and productive way, as expected, and with the illusion of being able to work for a great company and a reference in its sector.
