Selected by EIB to support rehabilitation of District Heating systems in Ukraine

The Consulting and Technical Advisory Division of OCA Global has been contracted by the Banco Europeo de Inversiones (BEI) to provide services for the rehabilitation of district heating (DH) systems in two Ukrainian municipalities: Kryviy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk oblast) and Lozova (Kharkiv oblast). 

These DH systems are networks supplying domestic hot water and heating to buildings from a central plant. In Ukraine, as in the other countries of the former Soviet Union, they are facing problems such as rising fuel prices and the worsening financial situation of municipal DH companies (lack of funds, qualified personnel, etc.).

The consulting work will consist of:

• develop a project implementation plan
• define the technical requirements of the refurbishment
• provide technical assistance in the procurement of goods, works and services
